About Us & Our Philosophies
Hormone Therapy of Citrus County is dedicated to offering the most up to date and the highest quality of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement to both women and men.
We specialize in the management of Perimenopause/Menopause in women and Andropause in men. Dr. Cross strongly believes that the most optimal way to receive information on Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, is with a personal, one on one consultation with the physician. This in depth discussion will last approximately 45 minutes to an hour and will include a slide presentation given by Dr. Cross.
The following topics will be reviewed: The basics of Bioidentical Hormone Replacement, and the differences between Bioidentical and Synthetic Hormones. The benefits of Testosterone Replacement in women and men will be emphasized, including the latest research on Breast Cancer, Prostate Cancer, Cardiovascular Disease, Alzheimer’s Disease, and Osteoporosis.
A comparison of hormone delivery methods will be made and the multiple benefits of subcutaneous hormone pellet therapy will be discussed. Dosing is individualized to the patient and is based on medical history and symptoms, a baseline hormonal profile, and weight. Hormone pellets are obtained from a 503B compounding pharmacy, the highest designation of quality that a compounding pharmacy may receive.
